We've seen the upcoming Oppo R9S in quite a few places so far - pamphlets, certification agencies, teasers, and rumors. Yet the phone still isn't official. We are, however, getting closer to that point, as it turns out.
Oppo has already started running TV ads for the R9S and R9S Plus (yes, there will be a bigger version too) in China. The image below is a screengrab from one of those ads, showcasing the slightly modified design compared to the R9 series, and, of course, the size difference between the R9S and R9S Plus.
The two new devices are apparently going to be unveiled during the third week of this month. That means it won't be long now. The Oppo R9S should feature a 16 MP main camera, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of built-in storage, and a 3,010 mAh battery with support for Oppo's Super VOOC fast charging tech. It's unclear how the Plus model's specs will differ.
